The Travel Institute
formerly known as ICTA is an international, nonprofit organization that
educates and certifies travel industry professionals at all career stages.
Since its inception in 1964, ICTA's mission has been to increase
professionalism within the travel industry and to create national standards
of excellence for travel professionals through its educational programs.
The Travel Institute's
programs encompass all career stages for the travel professional from entry
level to executive. These programs include:

Travel Associate (CTA) program which is excellent for the

The Travel Agent Training
Center offers traditional study group classes primarily in the
Charlotte, NC area. By joining a study group facilitated by a
educational professional, you will enjoy the benefits of class lead
instruction, additional handouts, materials, maps and the interaction with
other participants. We offer extensive review classes to help prepare
you for The Travel Institute exams. All Travel Institute courses are
available for self-study but the study group will keep you on track and help
you complete the course in a timely manner. Classes are held at the AAA
Carolinas Headquarters office located in Charlotte, NC. But most travel
agents are now taking advantage of our online study options so they can
study in the convenience of their own home at their own pace. By
